Go Green this July

Ok, it’s already July and it’s Youth Day today. Before I continue, I would like to say “Happy Youth Day” to everyone over here.

First, I would like to ask everyone over here, “How old is your PC?”. This July, being the month of the Annual E3 and Live Earth Concert, I would like to ask you to upgrade your PC. “Why?”, you ask. Well, firstly, upgrading your notebook/tablet/laptop to a Desktop PC or upgrading your current Desktop PC can reduce the amount of Carbon Dioxide emmisions from you, as newer Motherboards and Graphics Cards are more energy efficient.

Secondly, upgrading your PC to one with a DirectX 10 compliant Graphics Card means that you will be able to play the upcoming graphics intensive DirectX 10 games such as Crysis that are going to be announced at E3 2007.

Still not convinced? Visit www.liveearth.org to see for yourself how you can take part in combating our climate in crisis. There are certain things you can do if you really want to take part in salvaging the Earth, such as:

1. Changing all your light bulbs to CFLs at your home
2. Riding public transit or car pool one or more times per week
3. Shopping for the most energy efficient electronics and appliances
4. Forwarding a Live Earth email message to five of your friends
5. Shutting off your equipment and lights whenever you’re not using them
6. Adding your name to the Live Earth pledge

Are you surprised? Isn’t it Easy? Yeah, sure it is. With just six simple steps, you could be ending up salvaging our Earth and combating the global crisis - Global Warming.
