Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows leaked…

Perhaps now, it would have been old news. But anyway, if some of you just happened to be misinformed, I would as well make this a post. Just on Friday, many sites were already posting the existent of a leaked version of the latest Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Apparently, the leaked version of the book is in PDF format, and can be opened with Adobe Reader 8. It is merely 1.5 MB in size. The book has already found its way on many P2P networking sites, eDonkey networks, E-Book community sites and BitTorrent tracker sites prior to the book’s official release date.

Though many sites have already removed the leaked version of the book due to legal issues with Bloomsbury Publishing and Scholastic Press, many P2P networking sites are still hosting the file.

Like many others, I have downloaded a copy of the leaked book from MediaFire to check for its genuinity. I am not a Harry Potter fan so the file is really useless to me. Apparently, the file, which is 1.5 MB and 397 pages long is proven to be genuine and is the real McCoy. As it is written like a document, the total number of pages is 397 instead of 759 pages in the real book.
