New ‘Spider-Man suit’ being developed?

Recently, it was known that Scientists in Italy have managed to develop a formula that could be used to manufacture a suit that gives the wearer some of the abilities portrayed by a favourite comic book, Spider-Man.
The ‘Spider-Man’ suit would then be able to work by having the gloves and boots coated by carbon nanotubes, which would allow the wearer to cling to concrete, metal and glass. The nanotubes will be shaped like hooks and loops and imitate the hairs on the feet of a gecko.
In other words, it means that the wearer would be able to shoot out spider web material, cling on it and swing around with it, just like how Spider-Man would be able to. Well, it is cool, isn’t it?
According to the scientists, the suit is still in its initial stages of development, but it could be used in everything, from the mundane — such as window cleaning — to the exciting, such as space exploration. This is jsut another wonderful thing worth blogging, no?
