This Christmas: a money-burning frenzy!

As we all know, the most well-known electronic games publisher, Electronic Arts, after releasing mundane and repetitive “junk” for a few months, has finally put some muscle into the games they publish, with the release of Crysis, Hellgate: London, Need for Speed: ProStreet and eventually Burnout Paradise.
However, it’s not only Electronic Arts who are the ones who have put some muscle to their games. Come this Christmas, Hardcore Gamers will be thrust into the money-burning frenzy where at least fifty AAA video game titles will be available for only the Windows platform. Is this good of bad news? Does this spell a good sign for the video games industry?
Making a list of must-buy top games is really that hard, now being the holiday season and the peak of video gaming. I have tried to come up with one myself. It’s really quite hard. Let’s look below see my list of must-buy games, in no particular order:
Yes, I’m sure there are more ‘et cetera‘ titles such as Sims 2: Societies, Empire Earth 3, Kane and Lynch: Dead Men, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and Assassin’s Creed. I can use up this whole post to list them all out, but I shall not. There are in actual fact more than a hundred must-buy titles this holiday season, not including The Simpsons Game, of course.
Since there are just such a staggering amount of must-buy video games, what players can do is to sieve out a few game titles you love and make a decision to buy or “acquire” them. I have played a few of those games myself, including Halo 3, BioShock and Manhunt 2, but I shall be getting those games that I have listed out on my list for Christmas.
The bad thing is, Grand Theft Auto IV isn’t here, if not it would have stolen the limelight, just like Halo 3 did weeks ago. However, the good thing about this is, Grand Theft Auto IV has managed to slip out of this money-burning frenzy, where the ‘pie’ will have to be split among lots of game developing and publishing companies, which isn’t much if you’re talking about only a fraction of it.
Actually, it’s up to the gamers to decide. I have already done my part to handpick a few games from the staggering amount of games to be released this season. Well, have you? Are you just a hardcore or casual? Are you l33t or n00b? Will you be getting some of the top games mentioned? Or are you just having Turkey? Are you game? Kindly give your comments.

[...] Why doesn’t the sacred Grand Theft Auto IV see the light of day? Like I said before in this article, many games are going to be released this Christmas. Yet, gamers are not rejoicing. Instead, they [...]
