Today, the Electronic Entertainment Expo Media and Business Summit 2008 begins with a bang over at Microsoft’s conference, where many exciting news (and dpressing, depending on how you look at it) were announced. Read more below to find out!

Final Fantasy XIII coming to the Xbox 360

Breaking news from the Microsoft E3 2008 press conference! Square Enix’s representative Yoichi Wada has just to announced Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox 360. Did PlayStation 3 owners make the wrong choice in console?

It might be still too early to judge, we’ll wait for more updates on Sony’s tasteful updates in the next few days, provided that Sony still has some ace titles up its sleeves. However, it would be interesting to find out how Final Fantasy XIII would be stored on multiple discs or not. Stay tuned for more update son this!

The New Xbox 360 Experience

Called the New Xbox Experience, the Xbox 360 interface overhaul will have a new look and feel, akin to using a TV remote control interface. It looks slick and more modern then the current intrface. Also, the Xbox 360 logo will radiate a constant pulse in the bottom right corner.

The new Xbox 360 interface comes with a Cover Flow-style reflections and navigation that looks like a cross-breed between Windows Media Center and Apple’s iTunes. Some might be saddened by this news, but the update won’t be optional, it will be a total replacement.

Microsoft also mentioned that old themes and gamer pictures will work with the new interface, and the Xbox Guide will also load faster than before. Fable 2 E3 2008 Trailer

There’s nothing much to be said here. Just watch the trailer above, it’s the cinematic trailer for Fable 2 played at E3 2008 during Microsoft’s conference. Fable 2, the highly-anticipated sequel to the Xbox Role-Playing Game, will be released in October 2008.

Bungie’s new Halo game?

I shouldn’t dedicate much time to post more news on this unrelated piece of news, but Bungie’s site has just been updated with a teaser splash page, possibly of a new game announcement! Do check it out! It might be possibly a new Halo game, like what was suggested a few days ago that doesn’t feature Master Chief in it. Whatever that is, stay tuned for the latest updates on this!
