Good news for all Grand Theft Auto and Rockstar Games fans alike. Electronic Arts has just ended its bid to take over Take-Two Interactive, According to a press release issued by Electronic Arts, they have (finally) decided not to make renew its proposal to acquire Take-Two Interactive and has ended talks about the possible acquisition of Take-Two Interactive.,
Take-Two Interactive responded to Electronic Arts’ statement, with the following statement made, “We remain focused on creating value for our stockholders and our consumers. This has been our goal since EA launched its conditional and unsolicited bid six months ago, a bid which was repeatedly rejected by our stockholders.”
Hurray for Grand Theft Auto and Rockstar Games!
However, here comes the bad news, guys. After the statements issued by both Take-Two Interactive and Electronic Arts, the stock prices of Electronic Arts and Take-Two Interactive had both recieved a sgnificant hit, and both fell significantly. Painful for some here, ain’t it?
Electronic Arts had taken a hit with a decrease of as much as 2.7%, but prices have risen back up in the morning following the fall, probably because it’s just Electronic Arts. On the other hand, Take-Two Interactive’s stock prices have fallen much lower as compared to Electronic Arts. It had become nearly 25% lower than they were before talks had officially halted.
Anyway, here’s all the news for today. Good news for all video gamers! We don’t need Electronic Arts runing Grand Theft Auto, Midnight Club and Bioshock. I guess you can stick with The Sims, huh, EA? Anyway, stay tuned to us for more news and updates on Grand Theft Auto, right here!
