This girl plays GTA IV!

Sheylara (aka Qiaoyun), who has her own [popular] blog here, is a girl gamer. Glam and all, but that’s not the point. But, if you’re wodering… she plays GTA IV! Age of Conan and Ninja Gaiden II too! Well, so you wonder what’s the point of writing and reading this article? Read on, and you’ll find out…

Yep, I cannot think of a more suitable title for this post than this. I’m actually writing a review of Sheylara’s weekly Gamer Girl Friday article. She’s on her third one now, and it’s doing rather well, at the least.

I’m not actually writing this to win that copy of Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox 360 that’s she’s giving away. I’ve already got two copies, one standard edition and one special edition. But hey, it’s always good to win something, ain’t it? Even if you don’t really need it? It’s free after all!

So, let’s start!

First, as a blogger, I think it’s a really great idea to write a weekly article. People will come back to read every week, and you will build up more loyal readers. Sheylara has done well with her Gamer Girl Friday. Maybe I should do that one day, but what would it be? Grand Theft Auto Saturday? Perhaps.

Gamer Girl Friday also answers questions. Not questions like “Is Jack Thompson a douchebag?”, but more importantly, geeky video game questions. All about the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC Games and stuff like that. You can ask Sheylara and she’ll post them on the Q&A section every week, provided she “doesn’t have 500 questions a day”. Fair enough.

The weekly Gamer Girl Friday also has generous giveaways. So far, she has held a Grand Theft Auto IV and Ninja Gaiden II giveaway contest in GGF’s 3-week run. Hopefully, there will be more of such giveaways in the future!

Well, it is said that a photo says a thousand words. Gamer Girl Friday, like the rest of Sheylara.com, is packed with many bandwidth consuming photos and pictures alike. There is the usual camwhoring, as well as screenshots from games that she plays. Sometimes, when something tickles her fancy, Sheylara also has videos for you! Well, that’s really using digital multimedia so well to elaborate on the posts!

Her weekly Gamer Girl Friday not only holds true to a Gamer’s spirit, it also holds true to a blogger’s spirit by encouraging reader interactivity. Most of her posts would encourage readers to comment, and she has certaintly done a great job with that. She usually has lots of stuff to give away, though!

Also, every week’s Gamer Girl Friday is coupled with a user-friendly reader-friendly navigation system that saves you much time from scrolling down. It also really extends your computer mouse’s scrolling wheel’s life span. It is really a job well done, too. All it takes is a click to take you to every individual section and back to the table of contents.

Lastly, I feel we should all give her a great tribute. She has done to keep all of her readers entertained, almost daily, even though she is a lady very busy with work, games and life. For she has taken out time from her busy schedule to type a long section on video games every Friday, I have to really applaud her for the great gamer spirit!

Hurry, head over to Sheylara.com now!

P.S.: I cannot find any male gamer that can do twice the amount of amazing stuff Sheylara can do! C’mon, what’s wrong with the boys? We’re gotta show ‘em gals, aren’t we?! Are boys really bad at multi-tasking? Ok, see ya, guys! Enjoy GTA IV if you’ve got it!
