- Posted by -=}{oT~dEv1L 666=- on November 26th, 2007 filed in Articles, Video Games
Time certainately flies when you’re having fun. It’s only a month till Christmas. Like what I said in my previous posts, there are certainately lots of games to play this holiday season. In this three part feature, I wish to come up an elaborate Christmas games shopping list for all of you. Without much further ado, I wish to begin on part one of this three-part feature…

Jump To: Part One | Part Two | Part Three
BioShock (PC, Xbox 360)
BioShock is an interactive and innovative shooter. Basically, it’s a semi-open-ended shooter game set in the underwater world of Rapture. Besides weapons, you will be able to take control of “plasmids”, which are gentical code that you inject into your body for special powers. Definitely worth the buy!
Crysis (PC)
Here’s another “must-buy” title. However, you will need a rather high-end graphics card to play this, so you can forget about it if you only have a simple notebook or a $800 desktop PC. Basically, Crysis is set in dense jungles where you have to fight off North Koreans and alliens, with the help of a nano-technology super-suit. You’d better cry if you can’t play this monster!
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)
No, this isn’t another mediocre World War II-inspired shooter. It’s an over-the-edge game with cutting-edge graphics and state-of-the art gameplay. It features many multiplayer modes and massive game levels. Being an action-packed First-Person Shooter, this game isn’t for the faint-hearted.
Half-Life 2: The Orange Box (PC, Xbox 360)
The Orange Box is an affordable games bundle that will give you a bang for your buck. You get five games in one neat package - Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Epsiode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fotress 2 and Portal. Half-Life 2 follows the story of Gordon Freeman and is the sequel to the bestselling PC game Half-Life. Episode One and Two continues the story arc started in Half-Life 2. Portal is an interesting game, with its mind-bending wormhole puzzle gameplay and hilarious writing. Team Fotress 2, like the original Team Fotress, features some super addictive team-based multiplayer. The Orange Box is definitely the greatest Christmas gaming deals out there!
World in Conflict (PC)
Well, what should I say? This game truly changes the way people think of the real-time strategy genre. This game has great multuplayer, and also a great single-player campaign to complement it. This one’s a must buy title if you truly love real-time war strategy games such as Company of Heroes.
Voila, we have come to the end of the first part of the three-part “Games to get this Christmas” feature. If you are anxiously waiting for the second part, kindly give us your comments so that I know how to write the list the way you want it to be. For example, what games do you think I have missed out and would like me to include in the second part? Watch out for Part Two on Wednesday!
