Grand Theft Auto titles arrive on Steam

Previously, we reported that Direct2Drive had Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas, as well as other Rockstar Games titles, available for sale. Now, these titles also arrive in Steam, Valve Coporation’s popular pay-per-download internet games purchasing system.
Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto 2, Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas will all be sold as part of the Grand Theft Auto Collection, which costs $43.45. Although the first two “classic” titles were made available for free by the company in the past, this is the first time that all of these titles have been bundled together.
Additional titles from the company which are now available on Steam include Max Payne 1 and 2, Manhunt and Midnight Club 2. All of the company’s Steam games can be purchased in the Rockstar Collection for $69.95. As an introductory offer, all games are discounted by 10% until January 11.
In my opinion, Steam is much better than any other sevices, such as IGN’s Direct2Drive. However, if you do intend on purchasing them off Steam, you should make the ultimate choice. Steam has a discount, so make use of that!

Grand Theft Auto IV Updates!

I was shocked to have seen that my unique visitor count went up after the New Year. After all, people are getting back to work. More of them are using the computer. I don’t know, but maybe my Google PageRank has increased?
Thank you all for coming to visit my site, it’s been a wonderful time last year. I hope things will get better this year. As I have gone back to school, which will be rather hectic this year, I will only have very little time for my blog, as well as for Grand Theft Auto IV.
Recently, there has been a few Grand Theft Auto IV updates. For those that don’t know, it seems that the map of Grand Theft Auto IV’s Liberty City has been revealed, as seen in the image to the right of this post. It was spotted by a GTAForums’ member, Bluespot.
If you take a close look at the police boat scene in the third trailer, the interior of one of the boats appears to reveal a sort of Radar/GPS system revealing what may possibly be the new layout of the Liberty City map in Grand Theft Auto IV.
This scene takes place at approximately 1:24 into the trailer, if you would like to take a look for yourself. The map shown here shares similarities with the geographical layout of the real NYC, leading many Grand Theft Auto fans, me included, to even further believe that it is in fact Liberty City. However, only time will show us the truth.
Also, Brotha (a.k.a. GTA Dude) has released his new video, reanacting the third trailer of Grand Theft Auto IV in San Andreas. Click here to watch his first video, here to watch is second video and finally, click here to watch the video “GTA IV Trailer 3 in San Andreas”. Have a good day!
Happy New Year MMVIII!

It’s New Year’s day already! This year seemed like a short one. We had good times, bad times and not so good times. Christmas came and gone. Also, it seems that GameSpot’s Game of The Year is decided. As I expected, it was Bioshock. Way to go, Take 2 Interactive!
2008 seems to be a promising year ahead. Alas, our blog has survived many great hurdles. Don’t worry, we will always be a Number 1 source of Grand Theft Auto and general computer and video game news in Singapore! We will continue to report on latest updates on Grand Theft Auto IV, as well as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Once again, I would like to wish you guys a Happy New Year’s Day! How are you feeling right now? Really great? Or rather depressed? For those guys in the US, Happy New Year’s Eve! Look at the post I made for you guys below this one! For the rest, I wish that you would have a great year ahead!
Happy New Year’s Eve! What’s your resolution?

2007 is almost over - a new year is befalling on us. Soon after, it will be the anniversary of -=}{oT~dEv1L 666=-’s HQ. It has been a year full of surprises and let-downs, happy times and downtimes. Let us revisit some memories…
Remember the times when the whole blog went offline? It was a real pain restoring all those posts. Also, we have moved hosts three times - from iFastNet to Byethost, then now to Kilu.
Also, remember the times of joy when those Grand Theft Auto IV screenshots and trailers were released? What about the time when Grand Theft Auto IV was delayed from its initial October 16th release date? A plain letdown.
There are of course, way too many ups and downs in the course of one year for me to describe. Well, since it’s New Year’s Eve, of course I’ve got a New Year’s resolution ready - well, I want to finally pick up some knowledge of C++, Java or XML. Also, I want to expand on this blog!
I don’t know what you guys have in mind for a New Year’s Eve celebration. A simple dinner with your family members, or a sumptuous one at a restraunt? I don’t know about myself either, perhaps a good ol’ countdown to the new year while playing Grand Theft Auto would be great?
Of course, this might as well be the last post of 2007. Tomorrow, it’s a new year - a brand new start - 2008. Of course, my only wish is for some more Grand Theft Auto IV goodies before the year ends! I guess I should not be getting too excited - it’s just a new year after all. However, I should remember that “Things Will Be Different”.
Grand Theft Auto IV System Wraps spotted in Target
- Posted by -=}{oT~dEv1L 666=- on December 31st, 2007 filed in Grand Theft Auto

The images you see above are taken by Jordan from Planet Grand Theft Auto. It seems that Target stores are offering a free Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 system wrap when you pre-order Grand Theft Auto IV in the store.
A system wrap is basically several pieces that fit onto the outer portion of your console (Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3) to customize the look. These system wraps are black and they display the full Grand Theft Auto IV logo. For more details, visit your local Target store.
While this is for American kiddies only, just like the Amazon car plate offer, you can still rejoice. It seems that the Grand Theft Auto IV release date has been further narrowed down, and is Rockstar Games’ idea of a Christmas present, I guess.
Remember those screenshots and artwork released shortly before Christmas? Those screenshots were from the Grand Theft Auto IV Christmas goodie pack sent out to webmasters of certified fan sites. Together with the screenshots, came a release date - “Spring 2008″.
Nothing special, it seems. Most of us seem to think that Spring 2008 is the same period that’s between February to April. Well, that isn’t ture. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, Spring is definitely the period from March to May. However, the second quater of Take Two Interacive’s fiscal year of 2008 is from February to April.
So, what does that mean? If Grand Theft Auto IV has to be released in Spring 2008, as well as in the time period of the second quater of Take Two Interacive’s fiscal year of 2008, it has to be released between the months of March and April.
Coincidentally, the release date provided my Target and MCV are March 2008 and 25th April, respectively. All these means Grand Theft Auto IV will indeed be released in a time period between these two months.
Of course, the release dates provided by MCV and Target are nothing but rumors. The release date window that’s provided by Rockstar Games seems to be between March and April, so we better stick to it. While this is nothing but old news, it is indeed something that other Grand Theft Auto fan sites haven’t seem to spot.

An Xbox 360 motion-sensing controller possible?

A piece of article from Team Xbox seems to reveal more about a motion-sensing add-on for the Xbox 360 controller, as well as more next-generation Xbox 360 controller prototypes.
While it might be nothing more than just a rumor, Team Xbox has confirmed that “Microsoft has been researching alternative input technologies for the last two years, including vision-based recognition such as the one used on Xbox Live Vision, as well as motion sensing technologies similar to those seen in the Microsoft Freestyle Pro and the PlayStation 3 SIXAXIS.”
Also, Team Xbox said that Microsoft has looked at ways to improve the right analog stick input and we’ll eventually hear more about these efforts soon. In fact, it’s more than a first-party tilt mod in the works, Team Xbox said.
Finally, Team Xbox will also bring us a real list of next-generation Xbox controller prototypes soon. For the full article, which has all the juicy details within, click on the link below to the news source.

The top video games of 2007?
- Posted by -=}{oT~dEv1L 666=- on December 29th, 2007 filed in Video Games

Everything comes to an end, eventually. We all know that 2007 is near its end - actually, just 3 days away. Everything must come to a conclusion. So, the question computer gamers are all asking - what are the top games of 2007?
Well, the question is a difficult one. Firstly, there are lots of computer and video games being created this year. Secondly, technology advances fast - games released in December 2007 might be better than games released in January 2007.
Well, when you mention “the top games of 2007″, the first games on my mind are Unreal Tournament III, Crysis, Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. You might ask, why all first-person shooters? It seems that there are in fact many great first-person shooter games released this year - the list is endless.
There are indeed many lists of “Top Games of 2007″, so I shall not make one. Below, I shall list links to the most popular “Top Games of 2007″ lists. They include lists from CNet, Destructoid, IGN and GameSpot. Feel free to sieve through those lists, and make your own list.
List of “Top Ten Games of 2007″ lists:
- Best of IGN 2007
- The Chanticleer Online
- Best of GameSpot 2007
- Destructoid Game of the Year
- Crave’s Top Games of 2007
There are of course, more lists of “Top Games of 2007″. People are entitled to their own opinion, so usuall these lists would differ. However, the usual top games that appeared in those lists are namely, Super Mario Galaxy (Wii), BioShock (Xbox 360, PC), Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, Xbox 360, PS3), Half Life 2: The Orange Box (PC, Xbox 360, PS3), Rock Band (PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) and of course, Crysis (PC).
Surprisingly, Halo 3 was usually appearing in the “Honourable Mentions” section. Yes, of course it was unforgettable that Halo 3 had a big and grand launch worldwide, as well as it grossing a few hundred million dollars in sales just in the first day alone. The game isn’t that great compared to the games mentioned above, but again, it’s an honourable mention.
Here, I hope you would have a good time counting down to 2008, when the time for a New Year countdown party comes. Do have fun playing games and ushering in the New Year! Cheers!

“Ugh…..what the…..arrgh…” Master Chief groaned as he regained consciousness. However, this time he found himself in the bedroom of an apartment in Rapture, without his armor. Jack stepped into the room.
“Who are you? Don’t give me sh*t, OK? I found an armor that could be yours. For all I know if you haven’t gotten injured by that Big Daddy, you would have been shot by my Security Splicers. And who knew, you were just a ordinary human, like me when I saw you. So, I’m gonna give you one chance, and tell me - Who are you? What are you doing here, and why are you doing with that armor of yours?” Jack asked Master Chief.
“John, Spartan-117. Yes, that armor is mine. You see, I was fighting some aliens when I..well lost consciousness and I got knocked out, found myself in the middle of the Mid-Atlantic Ocean. I was swimming to shore when I saw a building, and I quickly swam into it, then I came into here - this underwater city.” Master Chief replied.
“Good lord…that is your armor. Sh*t, the technology back on earth is AMAZING! Anyway, you’d better take a good rest,” Jack assured him. “Anyway, what’s the crap about those aliens?” John gave no reply. Meanwhile, …

Little Jacob: It’s al’ight man, its just one person. The name’s Jack.

-=}{oT~dEv1L 666=-: Okay, but…
Little Jacob: F*ck him, he’s been causing trouble everywhere when he was on Earth. He was found to be in a mysterious underwater city called Rapture. Go to the Atlantic Ocean, go and search for him, and when you find him, go give him a taste of good old Lil’ Jacob, capiche? Now, go to the docks in Algonquin. There’s a Jetmax waiting for you. It’s equipped with GPS, don’t worry, so you’ll find your way there easily. Now, go get him!

Christmas - it is over! The next big thing coming up, as many of you know, is the New Year. The year 2008, or MMVIII, will be here before we even know it - it’s just merely a few days away. Here, I present to you a skit written by DLH, now our full-time skit author at -=}{oT~dEv1L 666=-’s HQ…
After two months of much blood and sweat, Skit Volume 1 is finally back with a new Episode - “Hope?”, a continuation of “Deep Water”. This skit is a guest post written by DLH (DreamsLieHere), in collaboration with -=}{oT~dEv1L 666=-. We hope you enjoy it!
If you haven’t read the last 6 episodes, you can view them all on this page.
“What’s this… MJOLNIR armor plating?!” Jack exclaimed as he started examining the armor. Sure enough, he saw the words ‘Spartan-117′ inscripted onto the shoulder plates. It was too sudden for him - As he slowly closed his eyes, and thought about it for a few moments, he quickly contacted the Rapture security forces.
“Hey guys, I found an armor plating, it seems that somebody we didn’t expect has arrived… We’re going to deal with it! Strap up and continue patrol - shoot on sight.” Jack spoke thorugh the PA system that ran thorugh the whole facility. Soon after, Jack’s own splicer bodyguards went into action, all strapped up with revolvers.
Meanwhile, back on the Pillar of Autumn, the UNSC super-soldiers were still fighting off the covenant. “Kelly, there’s too many of them! What are we gonna do about them?”, Fred spoke through the COM system, “We’re in a f*cked up situation right now!? The Covenant - they won’t give up!” Fred screamed to Kelly as they fended off Covenants with their Assault Rifles.
“Wait, check if the MAC on the crashed pelican is working - it’s our only hope outta this situation - Go check it out NOW!” Kelly screamed back as Fred dodged incoming plasma fire and escaped back to the ship.
“The MAC seems to be operating fine! We’re going to send these Covenants Motherf*ckers to hell!” Fred exclaimed.
“Face the MAC turrets towards those covenant ships!” Kelly hollered at him as Fred frantically charged up the MAC turrets and fired it. The Covenant ships were wrecked, most of it - all in just a few shots. Kelly and Fred ducked beneath the ship, watching flabbergasted at the sight of the power of the MAC.
Meanwhile, Master Chief was struggling to come to terms with his surroundings. As he explored the dilapidated building, he stumbled upon stuff from the 1950’s - they were lying everywhere. So were the furniture, the design. He had not seen anything like that before. It was all new to him. When suddenly, he heard a sound…
“SMASH!”, a sound came out of nowhere. He looked down through one of the windows and saw a Big Daddy stomping onto a helpless person. He was already a bloody, mushy mess when it stomped right onto him.
The Master Chief saw this incident and quickly rushed down to stop it. He quickly took out his only weapon, a Assault Rifle, which is obviously helpless against a giant like a Big Daddy. Nothing could stop it for now. Nothing.
The Master Chief soon found himself gasping for air as he was grabbed by the Big Daddy. His heavy breathing, however turned into groans of sharp pain as he was thrown into a brick wall, making it crack a little in the process. He felt dizzy. It was just too much for him to take. The pain was just unbearable for him as he slowly faded in and out of consciousness and then blacked out.
