As any Grand Theft Auto fan or Hardcore Gamer would tell you, after the delay, news on Grand Theft Auto IV has been pretty scarce, compared to other upcoming games.

As most of you should have known by now, Grand Theft Auto IV will make its appearance at the Leipzig Games Convention. However, the most we have gotten now is only a few images of the Special Edition of Grand Theft Auto IV and a few shots of Grand Theft Auto collectables.

We hope to have more of these posts at -=}{oT~dEv1L 666=-’s HQ soon. Come on, Rockstar, don’t keep us waiting! Pump our brains full with Grand Theft Auto IV news! Meanwhile, guys, check out the post below this.

ViStart Aero Enhanced Theme

Basically, ViStart is a program written in XML that emulates the Windows Vista Start Menu. It can be run on Windows XP, however, it is not entirely like the real deal. In the real Windows Vista, as most of you should have realized by now, there is a border around the Shutdown and Lock buttons.

Apparently, that is not present in ViStart. I hope to change that, and therefore, I have made my own ViStart theme using a Windows Vista screenshot and Adobe Photoshop CS3. You can see from the screenshot that there are borders around the buttons, unlike in the plain ViStart theme.

Lastly, look at a screenshot of the theme here, and, of course, download it! If you like my theme, please digg it using the button below the comments field. The download link can be located at the bottom of this post. Enjoy!

Grand Theft Walrus - The Simpsons Movie

Grand Theft Auto, the Simpsons, and a little bit of Humour. And what do you get? GRAND THEFT WALRUS - the typical kind of Simpsons humour. And no, it’s not the first time Grand Theft Auto has appeared in the Simpsons.

Now, that is if you still remember Death Kill City II: Death Kill Stories. It seems that Grand Theft Auto just can’t seem to escape the clutches of the media. Grand Theft Auto is a parody in itself, but it seems that the Grand Theft Auto parody just keeps flowing…

Anyway, I think Grand Theft Walrus a pretty good parody of Grand Theft Auto. I’ve watched the Simpsons movie, and personally, I think the Simpsons creator somewhat might be a fan of Grand Theft Auto. First, there’s Death Kill City II: Death Kill Stories, then there’s The Simpsons Hit & Run. Now, there’s Grand Theft Walrus. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

Anyway, I hoped you have enjoyed watching the rather short clip posted above. Credit goes to the video uploader for uploading the video (duhh…). Cheers!

Blog Update - Version 2.8

As most of you can see, the blog header and many of the blog’s look and feel has been tweaked and customized to extreme uberness - white stripes and black background on glossy back tabs, and uncluttered sidebar and footer!

If you haven’t read the title, this means that it’s the arrival of -=}{oT~dEv1L 666=-’s HQ Version 2.8! Of course, in order to stay on the top of the chart as a top-notch blog, one has to keep to the rules and code of conduct of blogging, as well as mastering the art of blogging.

Of course, we decided to do away with the “blog version update history” to avoid cluttering up the post. Also, we have decided to avoid clutter in the site as a whole, and one of the ways to achieve this is to re-arrange links, images and content to make sure they don’t clutter the page, as well as making changes to the look and feel of the site itself, which is essential and important, so that loyal readers don’t get bored of the same, old “classic” theme that always seems to be present in some blogs.

Throughout this few months, -=}{oT~dEv1L 666=-’s HQ has survived many server crashes and low daily visitor rates - and now that we are slowly crawling up the charts and becoming popular, those days of darkness were worth it.

Now that we have come so far, I would like to thank all loyal feed subscribers and readers for supporting us. We hope you will continue to support us through the rest of our journey. You can choose to support us by either donating to us a domain name, placing a button, banner or text link to us on your site or by spreading the word about us to your friends.

Mac vs. PC

It’s a collection of short advertisements by Apple. It’s about Macintosh computers, versus, guess what - Windows PCs - Apple’s enemies. And yeah, I’m using a Windows PC. To be exact, it’s Windows XP with Service Pack 2.

Ok, as a Windows user, I admit it - Windows sucks in a certain way, and Macintosh rocks. Well, it seems that it’s MacOS X’s GUI (short for Graphical User Interface), Luna, that pisses me off.

Well, you see, I hate the brushed metallic windows that MacOS X has. Compared to Windows XP, it was king. However, if compared to Vista’s transluent glass borders, it’s scum. Ok, maybe the dock works better than the taskbar. But does it really look better than the good ol’ Start Menu in Windows?

MacOS X is good for editing Sound files and Movies. But Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and Adobe Photoshop CS3 still works better in Windows, albeit a rather hefty Price. And Safari does not out perform Opera in Windows, either.

So, you Apple fanboys says Macintosh plays games. Yes they do. But does it have a big library of games like Windows PCs have? What we want is to relax a little while and to play a little bit of computer games, big Apple! Decent games! Is that so hard?

Well, MacOX X is not virus-free either. It’s just rather rare. However, it should be more deadly than any virus or trojan horse created for Windows, if you happen to get it. Well, the best solution is still to get both a Mac and a Windows PC!

GBA games working on Series 60 smartphones

It’s not just a proof of concept. It’s the truth. Series 60 Version 3 (Feature Pack 1) smartphones, in a matter of fact, can play Gameboy Advance ROMS. With an application called “VGBA”, Gameboy Advance games that are smaller than 16Mb can be played on your phone.

However, there’s a limitation. Most Series 60 Version 3 (Feature Pack 1) phones have only 16Mb or less RAM, which means no GTA Advance for us. But hey, look on the cheerful side. You’ve got a few hundred games, ready to play fullscreen on your smartphone.

If you have got a Series 60 Version 3 (Feature Pack 1) smartphone, and you think you’re ready for it, click here to download and read instructions on how to get it onto your smartphone. Have fun!

Blog Update Version 2.8 Coming Soon…

As you can see, this blog’s skin is pretty slick and it works pretty well. However, being a just-started-out freelance Web Developer that is me, making my own WordPress theme should test my skills. It would, well, add colour and breathe life in to -=}{oT~dEv1L 666=-’s HQ, no?

The current default theme, honestly, is pretty dull. Well, everything from the header downwards looks fine enough for a blog. And in fact, it’s cool enough for me. But the header, it seems to be the thorn in the rose - something that looks so distinctive yet so unoriginal.

This blog, being 6 months old, really deserves a revamp. With the next two blog versions, 2.8 and 2.9, I hope to acquire a Top-level domain name (.com, .net, .info or .org) and to move to a new Web Space.

Currently, i’m being hosted on ByetHost, which is apparently plagued with problems - server hacked, account suspension without warning and the once-in-a-while ’server/SQL/FTP/cPanel down’ problem.

Also, I hope to redo the banner you see up above. The only problem that exists now is about making a multi-resolution banner, which has it’s limitations. Hence, I am still finding roundabout ways to solve this problem, make it accesinle for people woth all kinds of resolutions, and make a really impressive banner. I have Adobe Photoshop CS3, and no one should really doubt my skills, so making it impressive shouldn’t be a problem.

Now, with versions 2.7 and 2.8, I will be editing a current theme, with a custom banner, and making it the default theme. The change will take place probably two to three weeks from now.

A full blog revamp will take place with version 3.0, with my own custom made WordPress theme. I might engage some help from JarJar, Mr. Dew, LucIfiaR (Windows X) or some other people. If you’re a full-fledged Web Developer and happens to be reading this, do try to contact me - I will need your help. I need people proficient in PHP, CSS, HTML and JavaScript.
All help is appreciated!

Grand Theft Auto IV Trailer 2 in San Andreas

As you can see from above, this guy from GTAForums, “GTAIV Dude”, has done a great job in making a remake/re-creation/re-enacment of the Grand Theft Auto IV Trailer 2, “Looking For That Special Someone”.

This is apparently made possible, for those who are unaware, by using a program called FRAPS to capture gameplay from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (for the benefit of the others, I shall refer to GTA: San Andreas like this instead of GTASA, SA or “SanAn”), with the help of SA Cam Hack, a cemara hack for San Andreas.

After which, the footage would be cut, edited and put together using a Movie Maker such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, iMovie or Windows Movie Maker. The music and sound from the original trailer, “Looking For That Special Someone”, will also be ripped and used as the background music and sound.

Personally, I think this is a rather impressive piece of work. I gave it an 8/10, falling just behind Jordan’s masterpieces - which I think deserves a 9/10. Give this guy a pat in the back, albeit the video’s poor quality due to his bad graphics card. Cheers, guys!
