The German PSM3 Magazine, released some time ago, has got some new information of Grand Theft Auto IV. The magazine scans can be downloaded here, but there are no screenshots that appear in the article. The guys over at GTA-Like have kindly posted some information extracted from the magazine article.
What’s New In This Preview?
- The first hands-on minutes of the game are enough to understand how the game is gonna kick ass.
- The city have a lot of streets of any genre.
- You cannot enter in all the buildings, but you can interact with most of them.
- No property gestation, neither gang gestation nor trade gestation.
- Instead of that, we’ll have bowling, dart games, drinking spree in pub, strip-club and night club.
- The core of Grand Theft Auto IV is all about the human relationship.
- Sometimes, your contacts may call you during hard mission to ask you a service, you choose between the mission or your contact.
- If you do sh*t with your contact, you may assume the consequences.
- The impression of a breathing city is, again, absolutely stunning.
- The density of the population (peds) change between the place/borough you are.
- If you walk around the street with a gun in your hand, peds who have a cellphone can call the police.
- While we tried to high-jack a car, the scared bastard go so fast that he hit 2 cars.
- During the first mission, we tried to high jack a car without gun, then the driver beat up niko, who finished at the hospital.
- Peds react in a very realistic way, like they lead their own life.
- We played seven missions during four hours, the devs tell us that it’s a very very small portion of the game.
- 15 minutes necessary to go through 2/3 of Manhattan with a boat, and 10 minutes by car to do Brooklyn/central park.
- The cars can be destroyed very realistically, every parts can fold, it’s stunning !
- More variety of missions, and hard.
- The game is done, clipping has gone, and the game is super smooth.
- Forget about every other Grand Theft Auto clone, Grand Theft Auto IV’s gonna kick-ass.

Spanish PlayMania previews Grand Theft Auto IV

A new preview of Grand Theft Auto IV has surfaced. It is from a Spanish game magazine, PlayMania. The original article is located here. Some of the new details that have been revealed in the preview can be seen below.
Thanks to Mumol from GTAForums for the scans and information! Fromt he article, it is known that you can break car windows using the R1 button. They also piloted a helicopter and flew relatively high.
There is no more popping and the scenery looks photo-realistic. The game is done in terms of graphics, but not fully complete. The digital ‘up’ button allows for the use of the in-game phone and its interface is like a Sony Erricsson phone.
Fifteen cars and many pedestrians were counted when they were driving around Liberty City - it shows how Grand Theft Auto IV has improved over Grand Theft Auto III in creating living, breathing cities. Also, the pedestrian density will change in different areas, like in the real New York City. You can click the image above to download the Magazine Scans. Enjoy!
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Windbreaker

Well, the Asian version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue has been out for some time. There’s only free Windbreaker for first batch goods. So far, a lot of places has already sold out the windbreaker. The Design of the windbreaker is superb but unfortunately for myself, I have only the Large size which is kind of too big for me.
Nevertheless, it’s a very nice windbreak and definately worth collecting. The game is featured in Traditional Chinese language, for those waiting for the English version of the game, the Europe release is on March but I don’t think they will give out free windbreakers like the Asia release had.
For a short review on the game, I feel that the content is really kind of too limited for a SGD$70 purchase. There’s a total of 5 tracks, consider it 10 if you consider the reverses. Around 30+ cars. But one of the tracks is already featured in Gran Turismo HD, which leaves you to an additional of only 4 tracks.
The online, however, is smooth but joining a game takes a minute or two. The game runs very smooth, so not much technical problems. Unless you’re a racing fan with a wheel to drive the game, it’s better if you consider twice before buying it since the game no longer is bundling with the windbreaker.
Grand Theft Auto IV New Pictures!

Two new pictures of Grand Theft Auto IV has been released - one artwork of Little Jacob firing an AK-47 and another a screenshot from a recent article posted at GameSpy about the most wanted games of 2008.
Both are new, although the first one initially thought to be from the third trailer. Further research whows that it is indeed new. The piece of Little Jacob artwork came from MattyBlog, presumably taken from a magazine scan.
Also, you might have realized that we have moved to a new location! Our URL is now http://blog.gtahq.net. We can no longer be accesible from the old URL, which is http://hotdvl.kilu.de. We are now faster and better than before! Be sure to stay tuned for more Grand Theft Auto Iv news right here!
Dan Houser talks about Grand Theft Auto IV

The Co-Founder of Rockstar Games, writer and executive producer of nearly every Grand Theft Auto and Rockstar video game released to date - Dan Houser - has revealed one of his favorite experiences from playing Grand Theft Auto IV during its development phase.
There are so many defining moments, but a recent one was during a police chase. A song I love came on one of the radio stations while I had two cop cars chasing me through chinatown. I was speeding along when another cop car I hadn’t seen rammed me straight on, our cars crunched together, and I was sent flying through the windshield. I ducked into cover and could still hear the song playing from my smashed-up car. Then the cops opened fire, but one of them hit a pedestrian who pulled out his gun and started shooting. The next thing I know, there was a full-scale war going on between a random gang and the cops. Within a few seconds all the cops were dead and the gang members walked away. I got hold of another car and quietly drove out of the search area to lose my wanted level.
It is truly amazing to see how realistic the artificial intelligence in Grand Theft Auto IV has become. It is not only better than its predecessors, but also truly pushing the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles to their limits.
Rockstar Games has finally been successful in truly creating a living, breathing world, which is their aim for the Grand Theft Auto series - the people of Liberty City will no longer just be reacting to your actions, but everyone’s else actions.
Plus, Kotaku has finally got their turn to test-drive the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV. In their version of the preview, several new information has been uncovered, including some of the controls. Click here to read the article!
Kotaku: “Other neat tweaks include a cinematic mode which slows time to a crawl on the fly and can be used at anytime in the game, making it easier to do things like slip through rush hour traffic at high speeds, cab rides which can either be enjoyed from beginning to end or, for a small fee, skipped entirely. You can also bribe the cabbie to break traffic laws to get you to your destination faster.”
Also, it seems that Grand Theft Auto V, the next game to follow after Grand Theft Auto IV, is already in the works. While this is nothing more than pure speculation, it seems that Image Metrics Website, the company who does facial animation services for the Grand Theft Auto series has listed Grand Theft Auto V on the website.
New Grand Theft Auto IV hands-on previews will be published by Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) and Kiziko soon, hopefully with new screenshots. Magazine scans on new previews will be posted here as soon as we get it! So, stay tuned for more Grand Theft Auto IV news, right here!
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Yea, it’s Valentine’s Day! Since it’s all about love, on the left is a link to the “Love Meet” flash site, taken from the website of perhaps the most anticipated video game of 2008, Grand Theft Auto IV. There are quite a few things to do up there, so check it out if you haven’t!
Can you feel the love in the air? I don’t know, but everywhere you go, there’s this whole big thing about “spreading the love” on Valentine’s Day, also known as Friendship Day to some. It’s not all about couples, it seems. Anyway, you’ll see this whole Valentine’s Day being hyped up by those organizations and companies. What’s the fuss?
For you Grand Theft Auto fans, we’ve got rather great news for you this Valentine’s Day. It might be a few days old news, but the Grand Theft Auto official website has been revamped to fit into the style of Grand Theft Auto IV. It looks better than ever before. Like the old version, it shows the release dates of all the Grand Theft Auto games in the series.
Well, for the rest of you here, I hope you would enjoy yourself today and have a Happy Valentine’s Day! For those girls in here, why not pre-order a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV for your boyfriend/husband? (if you don’t have one, don’t be too dissapointed) Once again, I would like to wish all of you Happy Valentine’s Day! Spread the love!

The guys at RockstarWatch had just found three new screenshots extracted from the official Grand Theft Auto IV website, as well as a leaked video which was initially planned to be an introductory video for the site. Are you looking for leaked Grand Theft Auto IV gameplay videos? Click here.
The first screenshot shows the Bean Machine Coffee outlet, the second and third ones are extracted from the backgrounds of the “Information” and “News” sections of the Grand Theft Auto IV site. One of them shows the Algonquin docks, the other shows a graffiti-infested wall in Liberty City.
The leaked introductory video to the site, which was mentioned just now, can be downloaded here (Right Click, ‘Save Target As’). This video was taken from RockstarWatch, who have removed the video from their site, unfortunately.
New hands-on previews (EGM and Kiziko) will be popping-up any time soon, so stay tuned!

So, what was mentioned in the previews?
- The faster you tap X, the faster Niko runs, he doesn’t appear to get tired.
- Niko will have to put on a helmet when riding on motorcycles
- Major collisions on motorbikes can cause the helmet to fall onto the ground.
- Heavy fire will destroy, sometimes permanently, parts of the environment.
- The mission prewiewed was called “To Live and Die in Alderney” which is the second part of “Truck Hustle”.
- The second mission is called “Jamaican Heat”, and acts as a tutorial for the new cover/targeting system.
- The third mission prewiewed was “Jacob’s Ladder”
- The final mission they previewed was “Harbouring a Grudge”.
- An Irish character called Patrick McReary was introduced, who is related to Francis.
- The mobile phone can be used to call the police, the paramedics, and the fire department.
- There are 18 radio stations - one of which is Russian.
- Health is represented by a green semi-circle on the left side of the radar, and a right semi-circle represents armour.
- You can restore health by resting, by using medical kits, and by eating.
- In taxis, you can ask the driver to change the radio station by pressing D-pad left or right.
- The equivalent of the Lincoln Tunnel in Liberty City is known as the Booth Tunnel.
- Cars no longer explode when flipped over.
- Grenades can be thrown from cars.
- You can push pedestrians out of the way using the B button on the Xbox 360 (presumably Circle on the PS3).
- Police AI has been improved and they won’t shoot unless you’ve committed a serious offence
- Running from Police will cause them to open fire.
- Different melee attacks can be preformed by holding down the right trigger and pressing Y, X or B.
- The cover system is similar to that in Gears of War, you can also blind fire.
- You’ll notice characters breathing when it’s cold.
- Some of the gangs in Liberty City are the Mafia, Jamaicans, Triads and Irish.
- Some in-game bridges have tolls.
- Spinners (on wheels) have been implemented due to the community’s requests.
- Niko has an e-mail account and also uses RSS feeds. These can be accessed at any TW@ Internet café
- Radio stations will often report on events you’ve caused (e.g. completing missions, killing mob bosses)
- After running over a pedestrian blood spatterappears on the bumper and windshield of the car.
I think it’s finally time the Playstation 3 deserves some respect. Before this, there have been countless previews on the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV. Although it’s a fact that the Xbox 360 version will be superior to the PS3 version due to the extra downloadable episodic content, the Playstation 3 still deserves some honourable mention, don’t you think so?
Also, some multiplayer details of Grand Theft Auto IV have been leaked by Destructoid, and Rockstar Games have just launched a new Swingers T-Shirt contest for United States residents only - click here to take part.
There’s nothing much here, but be sure to stay tuned as more details get released in the coming days leading up to April 29, 2008!

Yes, the official Grand Theft Auto IV website opened its doors earlier today! Together with it, came 25 new screenshots and high-resolution versions of some screenshots that were released by BestBuy earlier this year. What came as a surprise, though, was the large amount of screenshots that have been released.
The Liberty City map has been revealed, together with several other key locations and characters in the game. Rockstar Games have also released a Grand Theft Auto IV screensaver, for your viewing pleasure. Click here to view the official Grand Theft Auto IV website!

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is here!

After much waiting and delays, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is finally available on PSN at Feb 1st with the Blu-ray version releasing on Feb 15th. Currently Rumored that the Blu-ray version would include a GT5P sony version of Windbreaker, but that applies to only first batch/preorders of the game. Pricing would be $60 for the PSN version and $66 for the blu-ray versions.
Currently, GT5P is an exclusive to Playstation 3, it’s been so since PS1, the Gran turismo franchaise had always been popular for simulation racing. If you have a Logitech G25, all the more is this game for you to turn up the ForceFeedback on your wheel.
Well for me, this prologue seems to me more like a Integrated Demo of the full game itself, I too felt it’s pricey at $66, but I’m only buying it if it’s confirmed to include the windbreaker.
-=}{oT~dEv1L 666=-: Welcome kimajoong, our new author!
